Introduction

Computers & Media Dealers Association (CMDA), Pune was established in 1993 and today we are proud to state that it is an association of more than 300+ dynamic IT entrepreneurs of Pune, working together for the betterment of IT trade-Community and consumers.

Computer dealers, distributors, system Integrators, service providers are our esteemed members. These members control almost 90% of computer hardware and consumables business in Pune.

The main objective of our association is to provide a platform for its members to address their common problems, issues, government representations, resolve disputes and to share technical and commercial information. Many initiatives have been undertaken by CMDA to increase awareness in the area of Information Technology by conducting IT Trade Exhibitions in Pune and by conducting various technical seminars on recent developments and technologies. Members and society at large benefit through a variety of events, projects and activities conducted by CMDA, Pune.

CMDA functions in a very professional and structured manner and its working is governed by bye-laws. CMDA is consistently recognized as one of the Top IT association in India. We are actively involved in all government representations along with other associations.

CMDA has gained importance and confidence of its members and also of other stake holders in Information Technology business which includes all Vendors, National Distributors, Regional Distributors, Sub Distributors, Various System Integrators, through its active interest in working with a very positive spirit and supporting and promoting ethical business and trade practices.

CMDA conducts a lot of events for its members every year. CMDA conducts seminars for its members covering new technology, new government policies or changes in taxation. Every year CMDA conducts free health checkup camp for its members, sports events, etc. Diwali mela is one of our biggest events where members along with their family come together and foster a spirit of togetherness.

CMDA is working with a clear vision to achieve the common goal of building value for its members, to shape their professional and personal life and take care of its social responsibility towards society through more disciplined acts and become India's most valuable IT trade association.

• How is technology reshaping the IT sector in the world, especially in India?

VP- Technology is at its best in this decade, specially artificial intelligence ( AI ) & internet of things ( IOT ) have changed prospective of IT industry, all devices are bound to connected & monitored everywhere. This scenario is with Industries as well as home users, So IT scope is wide & business opportunities are created in many ways .

• As we all are aware of Digitalization, do you think it's a boon for the IT Industry.

VP-Yes, absolutely, everything is digitized, all your records in personal, private & GOVERNMENT level will be stored in Digital format, this is only tip of ice berg, your all processes like licensing, payment gateways, registrations all sectors are following digitization.

• How CMDA helping IT Fertility to upgrading their business?

CMDA Pune organize many events for IT Fraternity and society, like IT expo which Showcase latest technology and products bridging connect between dealers and vendors. CMDA conducts management and technical Seminar for upgrading skills of our community. We also organize study tours for our members. As our social responsibility We donate new IT & Audio Visual hardware to different NGOs who are working for needy & socially downtrodden people of society. In all CMDA is doing 18- 20 events on yearly for our community & society.

• How are you increasing the upskilling initiatives in your organization? Is there any initiative in your pipeline currently?

President -CMDA had always worked for IT community from last 30 years, we have organized hundreds of sessions to educate our members & nonmembers as well. This CMDA B2BC IT Expo 2023 will not only cover the advanced Information & Technology products but will be having informative & knowledge sharing seminars, which will cover financial, technical, commercial aspects of IT Industry .
